Workforce Development
Successful Wraparound implementation hinges on strategic workforce development. Leveraging principles from implementation science, we focus on building local capacity through comprehensive training and coaching programs for key roles, including care coordinators, parent and young adults support partners, Wraparound supervisors, and local Wraparound coaches and trainers. Our approach ensures that local expertise is developed and sustained, thereby creating a robust network of trained professionals and coaches who can continue to support high-quality Wraparound.
Our Training & Coaching Package
Our workforce development package is a comprehensive solution tailored to build and sustain local Wraparound capacity. This package includes:
- Core Trainings: A series of foundational trainings designed for practitioners, supervisors, administrators, and community stakeholders. These trainings are enhanced by intensive coaching to ensure that participants not only understand the material but can also apply it effectively in their roles.
- Intensive Coaching: Coaching is delivered both in-person and virtually, across various settings including Wraparound team meetings, supervisory sessions, document reviews, and community engagement meetings. Our coaching spans all phases of the Wraparound process, with a focus on developing a core set of skills essential for quality practice. We utilize innovative tools such as Wraparound Practice Improvement Tools (WPITs) and InnovatePractice©, our asynchronous virtual coaching technology, to support the coaching process.
- Local Trainer & Coach Certification: For long-term sustainability, NWIC offers intensive training for local staff identified as candidates for certification as Wraparound trainers and coaches. This training is highly focused, providing candidates with the skills needed to become certified Wraparound coaches. Certification is based on the candidates' ability to master NWIC's tools and methods for local implementation and support.
